Cosa aspettarsi
Victor Trivas rejects heroic orientation for fragmented, multinational suffering. Mobile sound and camera work move across opposing lines, making shared vulnerability more legible than military purpose.
Come avvicinarsi al film
Do not expect one triumphant protagonist. Let recurring faces and spaces accumulate, and notice how quickly uniforms stop providing moral or visual certainty in the trenches.

Five people under one roof; only one can understand everybody. That is a useful inconvenience. Louis Douglas’s dancer gives the group a skill it cannot distribute equally, so communication has a practical condition: somebody has to make the words travel. I like an ensemble that needs its members for something more specific than occupying five places.
