Cosa aspettarsi
The repeated journey for water turns physical work into the film’s structure. With almost no dialogue to organise the experience, bodies, landscape, sound and repetition become the guide. The attraction is the close attention to ordinary effort, rather than a promise that island life is simple or peaceful.
Come avvicinarsi al film
Start with the weight and rhythm of the work. Notice how an action changes when you have seen it repeated. Let images and sound guide your attention rather than waiting for dialogue to explain each moment.
